It is our great pleasure to say that the 1st wedding venues’ sightseeing in Crete organized by Glam Events, which took place between the 8th and 10th of April 2019 has been successfully completed.
In this 3-day event, there were 30 wedding planners attending from around the globe, coming from countries such as; America, Russia, Dubai, Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon, the UK, Netherlands, Hungary, Czech Republic, Italy etc…
The welcome gala took place on Monday the 8th of April at the Centre of Mediterranean Architecture in the old Venetian Harbour of Chania where Mrs. Mihailaki, the representative of the municipality of Chania welcomed all of them. Afterwards they were informed about the reasons a couple might want to choose Crete as their wedding location and then, a reception with live saxophone and violin followed.
During the following 2 days, the participants were toured to many venues throughout Crete (estates, farms, hotels, beachpoints, etc…) and in between-Tuesday night- a 2 hour presentation of 40 additional wedding venues took place in Avra Imperial Hotel.
The conclusion emerged by the participants responses, is that Crete indeed contains all the elements needed in order to become a top wedding destination and they all promised to include our island to their basic proposals/promotions towards their customers.
For the realization of this event, we would like to specifically thank the Hoteliers Union of Chania and the hotels Crete Palm, Santa Marina Plaza, Avra Imperial and Kydon hotel for accommodating our guests, Cretan VIP travel for all the transportations conducted, Moderno Catering, Agreco farm and Paspati Estate for all the meals offered, the florist shops ”En Kipo”and Maria Zebili for the decorations, the gentlemen Mr. Stelio Gazioti and Mr. Edmond Aleksi for the live music, ZitaAlpha photography and Videoview for the photo-video coverage of the event and last but not least, the Vice-mayor of Hersonisos area, Mr. Moudrakis for all his help and effort.
